WHAT IS ONE WORLD ONE HEART?

I created this event in 2007. The original idea behind this giveaway event was to bring bloggers together from around the world who may never ordinarily meet. It closes the gap of the blog community and enables us to interact, discover new and wonderful people, and in the process possibly win a prize or many prizes along the way. 2007 had roughly 85-90 participants and many connections were made because of it......friendships that are still going strong.

joining

Yes, I finally managed to join a few rings together (size 10 fiber). I used the tip of the tatting shuttle & decided a crochet hook might be easier --- which prevented the loops from twisting. I've done ok with the JP Coates crochet thread (size 10). The DMC (on the left) is pretty, but gets fuzzy.

These are rings with picot. I've been trying to keep the picot the same size & am improving. I am not sure this gauge is much help. (size 10 fiber left, size 3 fiber right)

Decided to give a size 20 a try. A challenge --- see the knot in the center? LOL These are Lizbeth threads, size 20 --- pretty colors!

Will keep practicing & hope to improve : )

yo yo

I need to double check the pattern; however,
I think I have enough of this size yo yo to make
a yo yo bear
link to post w/picture HERE

The butterfly shapes are
so interesting

I was really surprised at the thickness (once finished)
in the clover shape yo yo s
compared to the round shape yo yo s

I still have some small fabric squares
to make extra small round yo yo s

Am thinking to use a fabric for the bear face & paws

This is my first try & am using material I had on hand

I also bought a bear kit with wool for face & paws
complete with beads, fabrics squares, etc

Funness
