I tried this motif again.
This time used 2 shuttles and split rings.

No worries about hiding the fibers
(as in previous attempts).
Ended the ring + used the ends for a bird beak.

One made with size 10 fiber - sample to see if I could do it ...

Other one made with size 20 fiber,
and will be tucked into MIL's birthday card.
