Needlelace Star

Mr. Katt
can you just see the
"Do Not Disturb" sign?

Not much to show from Saturday's

Tho, I did enjoy the buttonhole stitching +
was happy to learn how to make the openings.

Just need more spare time to work on the center.

The points will have different kinds of stitches.
Very kewl!

Did get to JoAnn Fabrics + bought more vinyl,
silk Gutermann thread spools (40% off thru 3/31).
It is awesome silk thread!

I joined a few groups on the
ioli board.   Actually, joined awhile back and forgot about it.
Maybe I'll have to check in more often.

Needlelace Star

He looks so innocent.

Just had to chew on the ribbon ...
of my perle cotton box.

Here he is, faking a cat nap ...

He springs to the edge of the desk for a thread nibble.

Honestly.

The the star is the pre-work for
taught by Janice Blair.

I'm couching down some DMC perle cotton
with pink sewing thread.   Maybe he just likes pink!

Looking forward to the L.A.C.E. meeting on Saturday.
Mr. Katt will remain AT HOME.

Mr. Katt!

Mr. Katt watching me tat:

He was just too curious ...

to leave the shuttle alone ....

Kept putting him on the floor + finally,
he decided to nap in the basket.

#5 from Mini Tats by Patti Duff

Pointy looking with the Shoe Lace Trick (SLT).
LizBeth Fiber, Size 20, Color 686.

#5 from Mini Tats by Patti Duff.
This time, tatted with two shuttles, did not use the SLT.

Unkown fiber.   Probably size 20.

I'm thinking this may be pretty in White,
as a Five Point Star.
Maybe some more picots added --- oh, the possibilities.

Also, need to find some shamrock patterns.   With St. Patrick's Day around the corner, I think some lucky shamrocks might be fun to tat.

Thinking to use Sharren's Irish for a Day + Gina's Lucky Seven Shamrock patterns.

Mini Tat

Tatted with Size 20 LizBeth fiber,
color 684

What a challenge this motif was
for me - I finally finished.

Tatted with size 20 LizBeth fiber,
color 696.

I tried the front/back tatting.
Not sure it made much of a difference.

When I was tatting, it ended up straight, like an edge,
so pulled the side picot to get it 'round'.

Lovely color!

The next motif in the book has two different was to tat -
one shuttle/ball CCW or w/2 shuttles.   What fun, will
have to try both ways and compare.

I thought I'd work thru the motifs in this book
for the 25 Motif Challenge.   Guess I need to pick up the pace.

Did you notice the lovely shuttle?
front

back

Beautiful tatting came on the envelope of the shuttle

gifts

A heart for a friend.

(It is one of Jon's Tat-a-Renda Pattern,
called Enchanter

Isn't this a beautiful bracelet?
A gift from GF, Beth,
who has a heart of GOLD.

I don't know a lot about beading;
however, think this is memory wire.
Too fun to wear!

Thx Beth.
