Catching up on blog reading, I noticed
Pat
has a wonderful offer on her blog.
She is tucking in some extra goodies
on all etsy and artfire shop purchases.
In addition to that,
is adding more ciggies (images)
and lengths of hand dye
silk to her shops! Lucky us : )

Happy Birthday to You
The Blue Castle
by L. M. Montgomery
(who also wrote Anne of Green Gables)
thx to my bookworm friends
for telling me about the similarities in The Blue Castle
and The Ladies of Misalonghi
I went back to the public library
and picked up The Blue Castle
From the book summaries - they do seem similar.
I had been looking for this Art Bin
since seeing it on (somebody's) a blog.
Found one at JoAnn's Fabrics (+ used a coupon.)
near the crochet hooks
My 'stuff' is a perfect fit

Sewing Machine Day!
According to Holiday Insights:
When : June 13th and September 10th
Sewing Machine Day celebrates a very important invention ----- the sewing machine. The first sewing machines were made in France in the 1830s.
It wasn't until 1846, that they were patented in the U.S.
What a great invention.
Prior to it's creation, clothes items were sewn together by hand...stitch by stitch.
