Eleonore Endrucks: ‘Die Schiffchen-Spitszen’, 1920

Have you read the news?    Re. Endrucks patterns?

Check out Muskaan's blog post:  Endrucks patterns-galore .

The Endrucks patterns are listed in categories:  Hearts, Butterflys, Flowers, Foliage, Bookmarks, Baskets, Coasters .... yeah, you get the idea.

Not familiar with Endruck?   - check out Endruck's 1920 Project

I've tatted a few of the patterns.   I have a couple more on my table that I'd like to create.

Check out the blog post (link above), Endruck's patterns (link above), &/or facebook group.   https://www.facebook.com/groups/1235560633606162/

These are creative and beautiful patterns.

The instructions are marvelous - even I can follow them (and that is sayin something).

Happy Spring!

Bobbin Lace Class

Pattern:  A Taste of Spiders & Such
c. Karen H. Thompson.

I'm using DMC color 959, No. 8 perle coton.

This charming pattern has trails, triangular ground (new to me), spiders (some new to me), and Scandinavian ground.

Yes, I have a way to go : )

[Pincushion gift from GF Carolyn R.  It is beautiful with beaded tatting around the outside edge.]

Photo below is a photograph from the cover page of the pattern.
The purpose of the pattern, is to learn some of the techniques to make a bobbin lace scarf.   Really ... a scarf.   If you are on Facebook, you may have seen some photographs of the bobbin lace scarf worn by Karen H Thompson.    So, stay tuned, perhaps a pattern / kit will be available.

These are classes thru the Lace Museum

Bobbin Lace ...

 Pattern:  Everything But ...
c. Karen H Thompson, 2021.

 I used pc #8, color 225 and pc #5 3688.

Not without a couple mistakes, one pattern I intend to try again.

As for the circular bobbin lace - which I want to make a pincushion out of ... I think this will be the center:

for more information on the needlework pattern.

This will be the lace around the pincushion.  I'm not sure if the color of the bird will be ok.   If not, I"ll re-stitch the bird with a better-matching DMC floss.

Pattern:  Fans and Spiders Circular Frame

I"m using Lizbeth, size 20 fiber.  Color 623.

What's going on? Asked my GF

Well, I've just about completed a project from one of my zoom classes.  This one was in November of 2021.  And probably my favourite of all the bobbin lace I've done.   I saw a photograph in the 12-hour beginner bobbin class, and said -- "this is what I want to do"   "exactly THIS".   And, I've enjoyed every part of it.   Have a little ways to go.

Perle Coton #5 Color 3688.  Perle Coton #8 Color 225.  Pattern is called "Everything but"  ... the kitchen sink.   cKaren H. Thompson, 2021.

Also, this (purchased) circular shape pattern.   About 1/4 done.

Called Fans and Spiders Circular Frame.  c.2021 Karen H Thompson.

I cannot wait to put this around a pincushion.

Fiber is Lizbeth, Size 20, Color 623.

 Celebrating S P R I N G --  I made some lego bunnys.   Was a lot of fun.
