IOLI Dallas: Tatted Oraments

 

 Class One:  3D Angel

 Class Two: Log Carrier

 Class Three: Star/Flower

 Class four was for finishing.   This photograph is from the convention web page - shows what the tatting I've started will look like (maybe by the holidays!)      Once I complete the tatted elements will assemble into the three ornaments.

IOLI Dallas: Frisado de Valladolid Needle Lace

Frisado de Valladolid Style

I am using "Gilt Smooth Passing Thread" Fine #4 in silver
and Gutermann silk thread (Col. 391 & Col. 733).
Pattern & Instructions c.Carolyn Wetzel.

I removed my "start" and this is my do-over.   Learning how
to make it pretty!!!

IOLI Dallas: Bobbin lace

2025 IOLI Bobbin, purchased from Valerie Sims - Especially Bobbins.
Lace Bobbin Holder, made from texas pecan, AND a mini hook (tool) compliments of Dallas Lace Society


 Beautiful Cover Cloth & heart from "Deep in the Hearts of the Beehive Lacers.



 I was thinking they might house a tatting shuttle.  I purchased this small book.    



From Sunday's opening dinner:
Blue puffy thingie - from Austin Lacemakers Guild.
Magnet w/2025-26 Calendar from Dallas Lace Society.
The Lace Museum provided a storage tube (for hooks, needles, tools, etc.)
Also pictured is a convention pin (I purchased)
and a thread/yarn spindle.

IOLI Dallas: Teneriffe


I bought this kit from NeedleLaceArts.com,

(a.k.a The Shuttle Smith Split Ring Tatting Books.)

Someday, I will have free time
to create this lovely Pansy!!!

The wooden template is light weight and well designed.  Pretty fibers, needles included - looking forward to creating the "Flower 5" kit.
