Second Session: Do You Know Your Picots?

Second session was Daisy Picots (+beads), Dot Picots (+variations, beads),
Downward Facing picots using stitch markers, and Venetian Picots.

The class pieces made a pretty colorful pile of tatting!

Next -- Lotus Rings.  Overlap - Layer - Underlap.

Akumal, Mexico

DS (middle son) and I have just returned from Akumal, Mexico.    He is a SCUBA diver -- I'm more of a snorkel here-n-there in the bay and Cenotes.   (Taak Bi Ha)   DS has a video (pocket sized) camera full of awesome dive videos -- For me, I just enjoyed snorkeling.    Saw many sea turtles, stingray, lion fish, schools of fish.   In one of the Cenotes, there was a shallow area where the school of dark color fish knibble on feet and legs.

Sharing some of our photos:

Moon rise over the bay.  (middle son).

 Many pelicans.

 (me) enjoying the tide pools.

 fabulously interesting.

Pattern © 2020 by Maggie Hensel-Brown

I've enjoyed picking up needle lace again as I haven't done it in awhile.

The videos Maggie has on her web page are helpful - as is her pdf with instructions / pattern.

I've used size 20 fibers - Lizbeth 601, Lizbeth 168, & DMC Ecru Cebelia.
