The pattern called for size 10 cordonnet - I used Lizbeth size 20.   I liked the pattern, tatted it in a different way than the pattern directions; however, I used the same number of DS, rings, chains and it came out okay.    I used Lizbeth, Size 20, Col. 646.

I used Lizbeth Size 20, Col. 614.   This is my version of her pattern.   I was stuck on the butterfly 'head' part of the instructions.   After a couple tries, I just changed the SR, ring off SR to one simple SR, gave it a twist, and kept tatting.

Last Saturday ..... Marlene (a.k.a. the Mad Tatter), made mention to me that she checks my blog for new posts.   And, I hadn't been blogging!

So, I pulled out my tatting bag & the first thing I pulled out - which I had not previously blogged about was a gift from Sue Anna (Tollway Tatters).   She gifted kits which included the pattern, tatting shuttle, beads, ice drop, and Size 10 fiber -- Yarnplayer's HDT "Spooky".     It was an incredible pattern, easy-to-follow, and tatted up in no time!

  

Marlene, you have my word, as I come across other tatted items of interest, I will blog about it / them.

Also, in all things tatting news, I purchased more ceramic shuttles from Sumiko Braithwaite.  I just love having them on my table.

I could not imagine tatting snowflakes in these colors -- so I HAD to photograph and share.   Aren't they awesome?

This is the front cover of the tatting book:  Snowflake Variations by Robin Perfetti.   I paged thru & thought the diagrams were spectacular!  Looks like I need to add this title to the tatting library!

Sue Anna brought kits for all of the tatters.   It had Karey Solomon's pattern "Easiest Ice Blossom" - with beads, ice drop, and size 10 Yarnplayer's HDT "Spooky"  .

This one was tatted by Denise.   Denise used smaller beads and size 20 tatting fiber.   It is interesting how the different sized thread and color combinations make the pattern look different!!!    When Denise was home, she sent me this picture of her drops:   

Denise also found some lovely drops to share - and a small bag to match!!!   Sweet ....   

 The next few photographs are Barbara's tatting.   Oh my.   A few months back, I shared some flat beads that I found at JoAnn Fabrics.   Barbara tatted away!!!   Some with ice drop pieces, and some with decorated beads.   It is really nice to buy a pkg or strand and share/swap!   It enhances our collections ; )

    Barbara sent me this photograph 10/26 ... of her embellished drops: 

 In this photo, Barbara embellished the two ice drops on the left - with glitter polish and underneath some images from a photographer (or photographer magazine).   She also shared a container of what reminded me of FLAT marbles - these two have what reminded me of yellow flowers!     The larger one in the middle was shared by Mary .... a better image below.

See how COOL these are?   They are embellished glass pieces with glass ink!   Made and shared by Mary.   (photos above and below).   I don't know if Mary has a blog - I probably should have asked her.  

Mary was needle tatting (photo on Diane's blog post.).    Also, Nancy was needle tatting a lovely necklace.   Was natural color with pastel beads.   So pretty!   And thank you Ana for the wonderful Honey beverage - was great for the drive home! 

 Above, another photo of the ice drop piece from Mary - AND, some new-to-me metallic fiber.   Diane shared some yardage.   It is a DMC product she purchased from Shuttle by Design - it is called DMC Diamant, metallic thread, 35m/38.2 yd   .

I added some more to my tatted edge (#1143).  I keep it on a Magical edging keeper -- better image here.   I find this little tool keeps my edge stored nicely!!!   As for the pattern ...  This tatting pattern can be found in the Helping Hands Newsletter, Vol 20 issue#3, pg 10 -- Fall 2012.  Originally published:  Old and New Designs in Tatting by Sophie T. Tatting and Tools/Toys

Over-the-Moon with my new TSA shuttles.    The TSA group is on Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/groups/tattingshuttleaddicts/ - Tatting Shuttle Addicts.   I have learned a lot about different types of tatting shuttles.    NAG Studio [Needle Arts Goddess] has an Eddie shuttle design in Maple for sale thru her ETSY store.   These shuttles are to commemorate TSA's two years.   btw --Anybody can purchase the Eddie / maple shuttle and can opt for personalized engraving.   With or without hook. 

I noticed on FB, The Tatting Corner / Jennifer  posted:    " I have a special request for small tatted or laced butterflies. We are vending at Annie's Craft Festival October 30-November 1st and would like to include a small butterfly to each flier that we hand out to encourage more folks to keep this wonderful art form going. "    She would like them by 10/28 ... Started a few last night ---

Repeating ....  I really adore these Tulip Etimo lace hooks.   While I hesitated to purchase the set -- I am so glad I went ahead with the order.    The roll up is nice + closes with a magnet.   The hooks are nice sizes for lace.   I also added my favorite Carrickmacross  lace scissors, knitting pin, Susan Bates yarn needle, a couple double point knitting [sock?] needles, and LACIS crochet hook.   The cotton candy embroidery scissors have been my 'go to' recently!

Here is my Leaping Lambie attempt from Tatting Times (Aug 2015) which I need to tat again !!!  I didnt quite get it right the first time.    Pattern c2015 Karey Solomon.

Below - Christmas in July gift from GF DW---- crochet pieces!    An inspiration to improve my crochet skills.

See how beautiful this motif is?  Tatted by GF DW --Pattern is from 

 Peikko"s book on Tatting Small Accessories.    [I bought one, misplaced it, bought another one -- found the first one + GF DW bought my new copy].     It is the motif shown on the front cover of the book!!

She also made a couple more motifs and attached to note.   

New acquisition - c.1942 The Spool Cotton Company.    The patterns are nice; however, the little bird tatting shuttle caught my eye + there were more inside ---  booklet starts "If a tatting shuttle could chirp it would probably trill."
