Now there are two.  DMC No. 8.
Kap'i Una (left) DMC 725 & 959,
Pensamiento Flower (right). DMC 745 - added outside ring of knots & the weaving.  Had options of square, pyramid, or plus/cross weaving.

Circles are apx 2".

Time for 3rd circle (3rd of 4 sessions -- )  Introduction to Nanduti class - thru The Lace Museum, Virtual Education.  Dawn Lovig is the instructor.

Now, to select a new color perle coton No. 8 ....

I have some new books on my shelf.  Will post pictures soon.  (Tatting and Nyanduti).

I'm using Lacis Reweaving needles OR Sullivan's needles for
the needle weaving.

I was not very successful using the 2.5" pointy one ( I used to lace the frame) for the spokes.  Using Bohin Chenille needles when I need to pierce the fabric (for spokes) or hidamari Sashiko needles.

I've looked up Nanduti, which I had not heard of before. It's now on my list of techniques to try!

For class, we use a wooden frame. Interior size about 6.25" square. The fabric is quilter muslin, folded a couple times and laced to the frame. Circles can be any size - frame can be any size - could experiment with fibers, too.
