Original Design: Star Block

This is a patriotic theme I designed. It was a challenge to select the red,white,blue fabrics from my slim stash. Just fun to create. I added the red border & same red fabric [back] over the past couple of days. The pillow form I have in the closet is too small, I'll have to get a larger one! The applique and stitching is not perfect; however, I'm pleased with the way it turned out. Keeping my fingers crossed I can get this done -- right pillow insert & the bottom edge stitched. With no sewing machine, connecting those pieces takes patience and a lot of time : )

Nice Exhibition!

I enjoyed a quick stop in the galleries. The display was great & IMO-the small cards w/each piece were interesting & enhanced each item!

I started reading this book about a year ago. Had to return to the library as somebody else put in a request. THEN, it got 'lost' in the library system!!! I found a BRAND NEW hardbound book in the sale bin. Go me. More information HERE
