I think I like the solid color better -

It is a nice pattern to tat.

Lace Display

Wednesday morning, I visited the Orland Park Public Library.    What a beautiful display of a variety of lace!    If you are in the neighborhood - check it out.    I put up a photo album on the L.A.C.E. facebook group page,  if you are interested in seeing more.

Lizbeth Size 20 - color 621

This tatted edge was fiddly.   Took a long time to get a few elements tatted.   Unique edge ; )

tatted edge

Tatted edge pattern in Occhi Schiffchenspitze Frivolite.
I used Size 30 or 40 fiber.  It might be HDT Fiber by Yarnplayer.  Had some fiber left on shuttles from a previous project.

Size 20, Lizbeth Fiber.   Had some left on a couple of shuttles.    I think color 622 and color 683.
This tatted edge pattern looks different when I used two different colors.

tatted edge

Tatted sample (edge pattern).   I used Yarnplayer's HDT.   Her HDTs are a dream to tat with.
I may try this again with a different size fiber.   Maybe a size 40 or 50.

 Pattern on pg 46.

This edge is about 30".   I'm not certain if I'll continue making it or not!  I'm looking to find a new edge to keep in my hand bag.
(Sophie T. LaCroix:  Edging or Insertion No. 1143.     I use size 20 Lizbeth fiber.   Using Lizbeth 138 [greens] and 170 [yellows]. )

Pincushion progress

I finished the bobbin lace pattern/frame.   Have it sewn to the linen.   Now to assemble into a pincushion.     I thought it would be easier to add the edge before assembly.  (see previous post)
