Tatting: Swirls - A Tatting Project

Swirls
Pattern & instruction by Meenal Palashikar,
via The Lace Museum, virtual education.

I used Lizbeth Size 10.
Colors 672 & 622.

 Pattern page w/first small piece
I used during class!  (Col. 650 + 627).

This pattern is inspired by Dora Young's Pinwheel
pattern from All New Knotless Tatting Designs.

During the session, we started a second piece (Left).  I used size 10 fiber and larger picots - will try this again with different size fiber and smaller picots.   I still need to sew in the ends.

This is the back - the pattern uses front side/back side tatting + to use 'down' joins.  I didn't try that (this time).

Beautiful! I love swirled designs, and I've not seen one quite like this before. I'll have to re-visit Dora Young's book.

Very effective. It’s similar to the one muskaan is working on, but I like the open spaces in yours.

Yes - similar / same technique. Once you get the hang of it : ) Muskaan's looks so nice.
