sniffing the bird seed --- then, the growl from Beatrice:

visited about 5 minutes and strolled off.

Bearcat Flowers : )

DH brought home a some beautiful flowers. And, they are Bearcat colors ... bright orange w/vibrant green centers : )

The Bearcat football team is playing a big game tonight. Alex is at the Fish Fry 4-6:30. Not sure what his job is tonight. Nick said he is just going to eat! The boys are staying for the big game -- Alex is going to be performing with the Drama Group during half time. Nick is just a fan tonight.

Delightful blooms!

The temperature had dropped to 31 degrees with 45 mph winds ... leaving the wind chill readings at 12 degrees. Brrr .... it is really nippy outdoors. Lots of the spring flowers are taking a wind beating.

We may even see some snow flurries AGAIN. What is with that????

It is quite windy this a.m. When I looked out, I noticed several flowers laying on the ground. I clipped them & brought them inside. There is nothing like bringing in fresh flowers!

Spring Flowers + Spring Musical

My Inlaws visited on Sunday. We went to the High School Musical performance during the afternoon. Alex was a Skater Dude & #45 Basketball Player & "A" for the Drama Club scene. Nick was in the pit, played the trombone. There are three more shows coming up this week-end.

Tonight, Alex is going with the Drama Club to Michigan City.



Tori selected these spring flowers about a week ago. I should have taken a photo then. There were many small pink roses in the arrangement. Now, I have them in a dish to dry. The 'eggs' are candles / chick belongs to Alex [gifts from MIL]

Funness

Nicholas selected a beautiful bouquet of flowers for me [a week or so ago]. I let them dry, put some rose petals into the bottom of glass dishes, and added full flowers ... oh so pretty!

Usually, Alex is the first one up in the morning. A couple days ago, he rushed into the room & said "MOM!" I jolted awake ... "Mom, McDonalds is having 50 cent burgers on Feb 13th -- can we go?" I say to him "mark it on the calendar" (sigh)

Yesterday, I was looking on the calendar ... sure enough ... Alex jotted down the McDonald's sale. LOL : )

I finished Wicked. This book reminds me of the hobbit. Interesting tale. This book took me forever to read. [Thanks Sue for loaning me your copy ... which I will return soon!]
