I am using Col. 959, No. 8, DMC Coton Perle.
After making teneriffe lace, and creating buttons, with circles/templates, it was quite a challenge to just sew the perle coton to the fabric without 'marking' the center, 'marking' the spokes - to make it even. And the center!!! is it in the center!!!
I understand the accomplished Nanduti lacemakers just make the spokes - kind of eye where it should be. Probably took me twice as long - I'm so used to measuring and marking ....
I think I have the 4 areas ready to darn/weave into flower petals. And adding fiber with the lace knot - well, I'd done that before - now to weave over the knot so it doesn't show .... guess I'm ready to create some petals -- yellow or pink?

Your work so far looks wonderfully centered to me! I watched the video in your previous post, and I'm amazed that all the fabric backing is eventually cut away to make the lace freestanding. Looking forward to seeing the process in either or both colors!
Looks good to me. I think you’re right, need to measure until you’re very experienced.
